This provides us with numerical insights only, ensuring your browsing experience remains entirely private and secure.
2. COLLECTIVE CALENDAR: Our calendar runs on Google Calendar. When you subscribe, your web browser connects directly to Google's servers to load the deadlines in real time. Because of this connection, using the calendar subjects you directly to Google's standard privacy policy.
3. DATA & FORMS: All contact forms, including Suggest a Listing, Submit a Contest, Report an Issue, Suggest an Edit, and Contact Us, are processed via Google Forms. We retain this submitted data for our internal records and/or contact purposes.
4. SITE PREFERENCES & LOCAL STORAGE: To function, this site utilizes your browser’s Local Storage to save your bookmarks, notes, favorites, and preference settings (such as banner dismissals). This data is strictly private, resides exclusively on your device, and is never transmitted to our servers. We have no access to your local files and cannot see, retrieve, or modify your saved items.
Data Notice & Responsibility: Because this data is stored locally, it is unique to your current browser. Clearing your browser cache or site data will permanently delete your saved history and preferences. These settings do not transfer between browsers or devices. We assume no liability for the loss of saved data resulting from browser maintenance, device failure, or switching browsers.
MEMBERSHIP & BILLING
1. Membership & Billing: Membership purchases made via our Patreon are voluntary, non-refundable payments for access to platform features and content. All membership payments are final. By subscribing, you acknowledge that you are purchasing access to the content and tools currently available and that past contributions cannot be refunded, regardless of whether you utilized the benefits or accessed the content.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: All original content, site layout, and the Backroom Subs design are the property of Backroom Subs. Unauthorized duplication of this website or other intellectual property is prohibited.
3. ALL LISTINGS: Listings are for informational purposes only. We do not endorse or ensure the quality of the listings in our database.
4. BACKROOM SUBS TOOLS & DATA STORAGE: Our suite of tools, including the Workspace, Credential Block, Cover Letter Engine, Sub Timer, and Pre-Flight Check, operate within your web browser. All data processed by these tools is stored exclusively in your browser’s Local Storage on your device. Because we do not host this data on our servers and have no access to it, we cannot recover or restore your information. You acknowledge that clearing your browser cache or cookies, switching web browsers, or hardware failure will result in the permanent deletion of your data. You are solely responsible for performing regular exports if available to preserve your history. We assume no liability for data loss or technical errors arising from the use of these tools. Your acceptance of these terms is saved to your browser's Local Storage for a duration of 24 hours.
5. DONATIONS & REFUND POLICY: Backroom Subs is maintained through independent effort and user support. Donations are voluntary, non-tax-deductible contributions and do not purchase goods, services, special access, or influence the donor's database content. All donations are final and non-refundable. By donating, you acknowledge that your contribution is a non-refundable gift to the platform.
6. DEFINITIONS: "Backroom Subs," "the site," "we," "us," "our" or other similar language refers to the proprietary literary database owned and managed by Emma Grey Rose.
