Double check before you submit. A final verification check to eliminate common submission errors and ensure your work meets industry standards.

Data & Consent: This tool is accessed via Backroom Subs, but all processing and data storage occurs within your own web browser. Pre-Flight Check uses zero cookies, zero tracking, and none of your inputted data is ever transmitted to or stored on our servers. Backroom Subs never sees, tracks, or accesses your work.

I consent to the use of browser storage on my personal device. This allows the tool to save my data and preferences locally, keeping them available indefinitely until I manually clear my browser cache.

Simultaneous Submissions: I verified this publisher accepts simultaneous submissions, or I am submitting this piece exclusively.

Formatting: I formatted the text spacing, margins, and font to match the publisher's guidelines.

Header & Anonymity: I double-checked that my header includes the required info if necessary (or I have properly removed my information for a blind submission).

Cover Letter: I attached or pasted a professional cover letter or excluded one if not necessary or if the publisher requested no cover letter. I have checked that the cover letter is addressed to the correct publication.

Author Bio: I included my standard, 3rd-person professional bio or excluded it if the publisher asked for an exclusion.

Subject Line: If required, I formatted the email or submission subject line as specified in the submission guidelines.

The File: I confirmed the correct, final manuscript is attached and there are no tracked changes or other edits visible on the manuscript.

If you switch web browsers, you will need to return to the original browser to see your info. Deleted input cannot be restored or retrieved.
